For the month of April, Mindy Petty, of Ingleside Primary School was selected for the Family Matters Award! She was recognized during our School Board Meeting, where she was
celebrated for her outstanding efforts. She was also awarded $100 from the Ingleside ISD Education Foundation.
Below is an excerpt from the nomination that was submitted on her behalf.
"It is with great admiration that I nominate our Vice Principal, Mrs. Mindy Petty for the Family Matters Award. Demonstrating exceptional dedication to our school community, our Vice Principal established a food pantry that provides essential food resources to our families in need. This initiative has not only helped alleviate food insecurity within our families but has also fostered a spirit of compassion within our school community. We care about our families, we care about our students. This is the foundation of our school and everything we do. The support for our families in our school is tangible. It makes a difference, even with just a bag of food and a heartfelt smile. I hope Mrs. Petty will know this work is admired. Her commitment to the well-being of our families and helping others in need truly embodies the spirit of this award and she is a wonderful superhero role model for our primary students."
We encourage you that if you witness an employee who goes above and beyond and demonstrates actions or qualities that are worthy of celebrating, to tell their story and help us recognize them! The nomination form is located on the district website at www.inglesideisd.org ,under the 'About Us' section of the Menu.
Congratulations, Mrs. Petty! We're so happy you're a part of the Family at IISD.
