Amanda Hays- October Family Matters Award Recipient
For the month of October, Amanda Hays, of Ingleside Primary School was selected for the Family Matters Award! She was recognized during our School Board Meeting, where she was celebrated for her outstanding efforts. She was also awarded $100 from the Ingleside ISD Education Foundation.
Below is an excerpt from the nomination that was submitted on her behalf. " Mrs. Hays is an absolutely outstanding teacher, and someone whom I’ve always found to consistently exemplify the characteristics she expects from her students. She is the kind of educator who stays in the hearts of her students long after they’ve “graduated” from her class … and I should know, because of our six children half of them have had the pleasure of having her as a teacher and they talk about her all the time, even today (one of them is now in high school)! Her strategic approach to high-level academic engagement and her open arms for her children is not a job to her … it’s clearly a lifestyle she’s embraced; a calling she has answered. A household name at our dinner table, and a name seated on our hearts. We LOVE Mrs. Hays and are exceedingly blessed to have her, and beautiful souls like her in IISD, caring for our children!"
We encourage you that if you witness an employee who goes above and beyond and demonstrates actions or qualities that are worthy of celebrating, to tell their story and help us recognize them! The nomination form is located on the district website at www.inglesideisd.org ,under the 'About Us' section of the Menu.
Congratulations, Mrs. Hays! We're so happy you're a part of the Family at IISD.
