About the Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees consists of seven members elected to serve, without compensation, for overlapping terms of three years each. Elections are conducted in May. Following the election, the board elects a president, vice-president and secretary to serve for one-year terms.

Candidate's Guide to Primary and General Elections

The Texas Election Code designates the Secretary of State as the chief election officer of the State of Texas. In order to provide information on the electoral process to all Texans, his office has prepared this guide in the expectation that increased information will result in increased participation.

Board Goals

  • Goal I: Prepare students for Early Childhood success in Reading/Mathematics and promote academic growth yearly through graduation.

  • Goal II: Prepare students for success in military service, postsecondary education, and/or careers upon graduation.

  • Goal III: Improve engagement with students, parents, staff, and community members to ensure equal partnership in the success of our children.

  • Goal IV: All campuses will maintain a safe and orderly environment that is conducive to learning.

  • Goal V: Continue to evolve to improve technology and facilities to meet the needs of our students, parents, staff, and community.
