JHays Family Matters

For the month of September, Jolene Hays, of Ingleside Primary School was recognized during our School Board Meeting, where she was

celebrated for her outstanding efforts. She was also awarded $100 from the Ingleside ISD Education Foundation.

Below is an excerpt from the nomination that was submitted on her behalf.

"Jolene Hays has been a dedicated member of the Ingleside Primary School family for many years and truly embodies what it means to make a difference in the lives of others.

If you have ever walked the halls of IPS, chances are you have experienced Jolene’s warmth. Whether she knows you or not, she greets everyone with the biggest smile and the sweetest “hello.” She takes tremendous pride in her work, but most of all, she takes pride in the students she serves.

Jolene has an incredible ability to connect with children and make them feel safe, loved, and heard. She is truly a “child whisperer.” No matter what a student may be going through, she makes sure they know they are valued and loved—not only by her, but by the entire IPS family.

You always know when Jolene is nearby because you can hear her joyful laugh throughout the halls, whether she is laughing with a student or visiting with a teacher. She has a special way of making everyone around her feel like family.

After all these years, Jolene continues to show up with the same passion, dedication, and love for our students. She is an outstanding paraprofessional, an incredible role model, and someone who has given so much to IPS and Ingleside ISD.

Jolene Hays is truly deserving of the Family Matters Award and represents the very best of what it means to make our schools feel like family.”

We encourage you that if you witness an employee who goes above and beyond and demonstrates actions or qualities that are worthy of celebrating, to tell their story and help us recognize them! The nomination form is located on the district website at www.inglesideisd.org ,under the 'About Us' section of the Menu.

Congratulations, Mrs. Hays! We're so happy you're a part of the Family at IISD.
